ON THE RAILS

These photographs were sent by new contributor Mr. John Powell who was born in Prestatyn and went to school in Rhyl. John lived in Meliden until 1989 and now resides on the Lleyn Peninsula.

The photo at the top is labelled Rhyl Station 1920 LNWR (London & North Western Railway); the company went out of existence in 1922 and became part of LMS (London Midland and Scottish).

The other picture shows holiday crowds in 1932 in Rhyl Station waiting for a train home. With luck we might get more from John in due course.
